Free stuff? Yes please! The NUS Student Union Welfare have partnered with different companies to create a tote bag full of snacks and selfcare products to be given out to each student as a good luck to midterms. With that said, I felt more happy after receiving the free bag of goodies as a reward to finishing midterms.
MONSOON SEASON IS HERE! It rained continuously for two days. On the bright side, it allowed Singapore to cool and felt a bit chilly for once. I never took those days for granted since the country is exceptionally humid.
It has been a while since I went out so right after class on Friday, I went out to explore. The goal that day was to visit an aesthetic Chinese cafe named Lantine and take it from there. After the delicious meal, I checked Google Maps to see what was nearby and realized that Little India was just a few streets over! In Little India, I visited Mustafa Centre. Mustafa Centre is a 24hr department store with budget friendly items, mass produced souvenirs, and snacks from all over the world. I even found Hawaiian Host Chocolates here! My weirdest find was Pocky Durian (review coming soon?).
Later that night, I had dinner at Haidilao in Clarke Quay with another group of exchangers! This was my FIRST time at Haidilao. It was not my favorite, but I had a great time with the unlimited ice cream and watching my friends say code phrases to get free things.
